They had both lashed out at each other on Twitter over the power crisis the country was experiencing.
A fan had asked Yvonne Nelson why John Dumelo was not invited to participate in the #DumsorMustStop vigil she was organizing and she responded, “…how can I invite John Dumelo when he wants to wait till he is 90 years to see electricity. He loves to kiss ass.”
The comment did not sit well with Dumelo, who took to Twitter to state that he would not bad mouth a colleague and a friend on social media in order to receive public approval. That appeared to mark the end of their much vaunted friendship.
But after over a year of beefing, Yvonne and Dumelo have reconciled and are back to being best friends.
On Tuesday, the two updated their Facebook pages to reflect their new status.
Yvonne shared a picture of the two in a warm embrace and captioned it: “Even politics couldn't break us. #bestfriend.”
